EFFECTIVENESS OF FINANCIAL CONTROL IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR

ABSTRACT

The focus of this study is the effectiveness of financial control in the public sector. This stud adopted survey design method of research. A population of 500 workers where their, a sample of 150 were selected randomly, among the three categories of workers i.e. higher staff, middle and lower staff. A structure of 22 questions questionnaire was administered to the selected sample. The questionnaire was given to two senior officers of the ministry and an others to the project supervisor to validate the question. Out of the 150 were returned. Statistical tools like tables percentages were used to analyze the responses from the sample. After the analysis and finding recommendations were equally made to have effectiveness of financial control in the ministry which can be extended to other ministries as well to enhance good financial control.
