ABSTRACT 

This research project aims to investigate the impact of micro-teaching on the teaching practice performance of business education students in Federal College of Education in Cross River State, Nigeria. Micro-teaching is a teacher training technique that involves the practice of teaching in a controlled and supportive environment, allowing students to develop and refine their teaching skills. Understanding the impact of micro-teaching on teaching practice performance is essential for enhancing the quality of teacher education programs and preparing business education students for successful teaching careers.

A mixed-methods research design will be employed, combining surveys, classroom observations, and qualitative analysis of data to gather information from business education students, cooperating teachers, and relevant stakeholders in Federal College of Education. The research objectives include assessing the utilization of micro-teaching in the teacher education program, exploring students’ perceptions and experiences of micro-teaching, evaluating the impact of micro-teaching on teaching practice performance, and identifying the benefits and challenges associated with its implementation.
