Abstract:
This study aims to investigate the influence of business education programmes on skills acquisition among business education students in Colleges of Education in Kano State, Nigeria. The research seeks to examine the role of business education programmes in equipping students with the necessary skills needed for success in the business world.

The study adopts a quantitative research design, employing a structured questionnaire to collect data from a sample of business education students enrolled in Colleges of Education in Kano State. The questionnaire is designed to assess students’ perceptions of the effectiveness of business education programmes in developing their skills.

The findings of this study will contribute to the existing body of knowledge on the impact of business education programmes in Nigeria, specifically in the context of Colleges of Education. It is expected that the results will provide insights into the strengths and weaknesses of the current business education curriculum and identify areas for improvement.

The research findings will be analyzed using statistical tools, such as descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis to examine the relationship between business education programmes and skills acquisition among students. The study will also explore potential factors that may influence the effectiveness of business education programmes, such as teaching methodologies, curriculum content, and resources available for practical learning.

The implications of this study are twofold. Firstly, it will provide valuable insights for educational policymakers and curriculum developers to enhance the effectiveness of business education programmes in Colleges of Education. Secondly, it will benefit business education students by highlighting the skills that are most valued in the business world and guide them in their career development.

The limitations of this study include the focus on Colleges of Education in Kano State, which may limit the generalizability of the findings to other regions in Nigeria. Furthermore, the reliance on self-reported data from students may introduce response bias.

In conclusion, this study aims to shed light on the influence of business education programmes on skills acquisition among business education students in Colleges of Education in Kano State, Nigeria. The findings will contribute to the understanding of the effectiveness of business education programmes and provide recommendations for improving the curriculum to better equip students for success in the business world.
