Abstract:
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about significant disruptions in the education sector worldwide, particularly in the delivery of instruction. In response to the challenges posed by the pandemic, educational institutions have been compelled to adopt alternative instructional approaches, with blended learning emerging as a prominent strategy. This study explores the integration of blended learning as a measure for facilitating instruction in the tertiary business education programme in the new normal in Delta State, Nigeria.

Blended learning combines traditional face-to-face instruction with online learning activities, providing a flexible and adaptive learning environment. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of blended learning in the tertiary business education programme in Delta State, specifically focusing on its impact on instructional outcomes, student engagement, and the overall learning experience.

The research methodology employs a mixed-methods approach, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis techniques. Surveys and interviews will be conducted with faculty members and students to gather their perceptions and experiences regarding the integration of blended learning. Additionally, quantitative data, such as academic performance indicators, will be analyzed to assess the impact of blended learning on student achievement.

The findings of this study will contribute to the existing body of knowledge on the effectiveness of blended learning in the context of tertiary business education. The results will inform educational policymakers, administrators, and instructors about the benefits, challenges, and best practices associated with the integration of blended learning in the new normal. Moreover, the study will provide insights into strategies for enhancing the implementation of blended learning and optimizing its potential to facilitate effective instruction in the tertiary business education programme in Delta State.

The study is expected to yield recommendations for educational institutions and stakeholders to develop appropriate frameworks, policies, and support systems to sustain and enhance blended learning initiatives beyond the pandemic.
