ABSTRACT
One of the most challenging duties on an agricultural field is weed control. In agriculture, weed management can be accomplished in three different ways. Mechanical, chemical, and biological control are these. Farmers quickly adopt mechanical weed management once they understand its benefits. With mechanical weed control, weeds between crop rows are not only removed, but the soil surface is also kept loose, improving soil aeration and water absorption. Mechanical weeding saves time and money by reducing labor costs. This project entailed the building of a mechanized weeder after it was discovered that equipment like cutlasses and hoes require a lot of labor-intensive, time-consuming drudgery. A mechanical weeder was created as an answer to these issues. The machine’s design is based on engineering principles and common formulae. After the design, precise drawings using AutoCAD to depict the various viewpoints of the machine would be needed.
