Abstract:

This paper presents a comprehensive legal examination of the rights of students in Rivers State, Nigeria. Education is universally recognized as a fundamental right, and students’ rights are integral to the effective functioning of educational institutions and the holistic development of individuals. In the context of Rivers State, these rights are of paramount importance, given the state’s diverse demographic and cultural landscape.

The study employs a multidisciplinary approach, drawing on legal frameworks, educational policies, and case law to analyze the legal status and protection of students’ rights.
