Abstract:
This paper presents an overview of the applications and maintenance techniques of electrical tools and equipment for instructional delivery in Ekiti State Technical Colleges. As technical education plays a crucial role in developing a skilled workforce, it is essential to ensure that the electrical tools and equipment used for instructional purposes are effectively utilized and well-maintained.
The first section of this paper explores the various applications of electrical tools and equipment in technical education. It highlights the importance of these tools in practical training and emphasizes their role in enhancing students' understanding of electrical concepts and skills. The applications discussed include electrical measuring instruments, power tools, soldering and desoldering equipment, electrical wiring tools, and electronic testing devices.
The second section focuses on the maintenance techniques necessary to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of electrical tools and equipment. It addresses the importance of regular maintenance routines, such as cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and calibration.
