Abstract:
This study investigates the attitude of lecturers towards the competence and utilization of Result Compiler Software (RCS) in Niger State College of Education. The aim is to assess lecturers' perceptions, skills, and utilization of RCS as a tool for result compilation and management. The study employed a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data collection methods.

In the quantitative phase, a structured questionnaire was administered to lecturers in the College of Education to gather data on their attitudes towards RCS, their perceived competence in using the software, and the extent of its utilization. The questionnaire employed Likert-scale items to measure the levels of agreement or disagreement with specific statements related to RCS.

Furthermore, in the qualitative phase, in-depth interviews were conducted with a subset of lecturers to explore their experiences, challenges, and suggestions regarding the utilization of RCS. The interviews aimed to provide a deeper understanding of lecturers' perspectives and to complement the quantitative findings.

Preliminary results indicate that lecturers generally exhibit a positive attitude towards the utilization of RCS, recognizing its potential to streamline result compilation processes, reduce errors, and enhance efficiency. However, there are variations in their perceived competence in using the software, with some expressing a need for additional training and support to maximize its benefits fully.

Challenges identified in the study include limited access to training resources, inadequate technical support, and resistance to change. These factors contribute to variations in the extent of RCS utilization among lecturers. Recommendations arising from the study include the provision of comprehensive training programs, continuous technical support, and the establishment of a conducive environment that promotes the adoption and effective utilization of RCS.

Overall, this study contributes to the understanding of lecturers' attitudes towards the competence and utilization of RCS in Niger State College of Education. The findings provide insights into the factors influencing its effective implementation and inform strategies to enhance lecturers' competence and utilization of RCS in result compilation and management processes.
