ABSTRACT

This research project examines the impact of staff development programs on the job performance of business education lecturers in tertiary institutions in Bauchi State, Nigeria. The study aims to assess the effectiveness of staff development initiatives in enhancing the professional competence and job performance of business education lecturers.

A mixed-methods research design will be employed, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews. The research objectives include evaluating the participation and satisfaction levels of business education lecturers in staff development programs, assessing the perceived impact of these programs on job performance, and identifying factors that influence the effectiveness of staff development initiatives.

The findings of this research project will contribute to the existing body of knowledge by providing insights into the impact of staff development programs on the job performance of business education lecturers. The research will evaluate the participation and satisfaction levels of lecturers in various staff development activities, including workshops, seminars, conferences, and professional training programs.
