Abstract:
This abstract provides a concise overview of a research study focused on examining the compliance of private primary school proprietors with minimum standards in Oyo State, Nigeria. The study aims to assess the extent to which private primary schools adhere to the prescribed minimum standards set by educational regulatory bodies.
The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gather data from private primary school proprietors in Oyo State. The quantitative surveys will be administered to a representative sample of private primary school proprietors, while the qualitative interviews will be conducted with a select group of school proprietors who demonstrate varying levels of compliance.
The research study will investigate several key aspects of compliance with minimum standards, including infrastructure and facilities, curriculum and instructional practices, teacher qualifications and training, student assessment methods, and health and safety measures. The study will also explore the challenges faced by private primary school proprietors in meeting these standards.
