Assessment of Business Education Physical Learning Resources for The Implementation of Activity-Based Learning in Bauchi State Colleges of Education

Abstract:
This study aims to assess the physical learning resources available for the implementation of activity-based learning in Bauchi State Colleges of Education, with a specific focus on the field of Business Education. Activity-based learning is a student-centered approach that emphasizes active engagement, practical application, and critical thinking skills. Adequate physical learning resources play a crucial role in facilitating effective implementation of this instructional method.

The research design will employ a mixed-methods approach, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative data collection techniques. The study will begin with a comprehensive survey to evaluate the current availability and condition of physical learning resources in the Business Education departments of Bauchi State Colleges of Education. The survey will encompass various aspects such as classrooms, laboratories, libraries, computer facilities, and audio-visual aids.

Furthermore, interviews and focus group discussions will be conducted with key stakeholders including business education lecturers, students, and college administrators. These qualitative methods will provide insights into the perceptions, experiences, and suggestions for improving the availability and utilization of physical learning resources for activity-based learning.

Data analysis will involve both descriptive statistics and thematic analysis. The quantitative data will be analyzed using statistical software to generate frequencies, percentages, and descriptive summaries. The qualitative data will be transcribed, coded, and categorized to identify recurring themes and patterns.

The findings of this study will inform policymakers, college administrators, and educators about the current state of physical learning resources in Bauchi State Colleges of Education. The results will highlight areas that require improvement or investment to enhance the implementation of activity-based learning in Business Education programs. The study will also contribute to the existing literature by providing empirical evidence on the relationship between physical learning resources and the effectiveness of activity-based learning approaches.
