Assessment of Vice-Chancellors’ Role Performance in Management of Students’ Welfare Services in Universities of North-East Zone, Nigeria

Abstract:
This abstract provides a summary of a study that examines the role performance of Vice-Chancellors in the management of students' welfare services in universities located in the North-East Zone of Nigeria. The study aims to assess the effectiveness of Vice-Chancellors in providing and overseeing welfare services that contribute to the overall well-being and academic success of students.

The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data collection methods. A survey questionnaire is administered to students to gather quantitative data on their perceptions of the Vice-Chancellors' role performance in managing student welfare services. Additionally, interviews and focus group discussions are conducted with key stakeholders, including Vice-Chancellors, university staff, and student representatives, to obtain qualitative insights into the challenges, successes, and potential areas for improvement in the management of these services.
