Abstract:
This study examines the influence of teachers' pedagogical competence on students' motivation towards business education in Federal College of Education (Technical) Gombe, located in the North-East region of Nigeria. The aim of the study is to investigate the relationship between the pedagogical competence of teachers and students' motivation in the context of business education.

The. research utilizes a quantitative research design, employing survey questionnaires to collect data from a sample of students enrolled in the business education program. The questionnaire includes items related to students' perception of teacher competence, teaching methods, classroom environment, and their motivation towards business education. Data analysis techniques such as descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis will be employed to examine the data collected.

The findings of this study are expected to provide insights into the role of teachers' pedagogical competence in shaping students' motivation towards business education. It will contribute to the existing body of knowledge on effective teaching practices and provide recommendations for improving the pedagogical skills of teachers in the college. The study's outcomes may also inform educational policymakers and administrators on the importance of enhancing teacher training programs to promote students' motivation and engagement in business education.
