UTILIZATION OF FACILITIES FOR INSTRUCTIONAL DELIVERY OF UNDERGRADUATE BUSINESS EDUCATION PROGRAMME IN DELTA STATE UNIVERSITIES

ABSTRACT 

This research project aims to investigate the utilization of facilities for instructional delivery in undergraduate business education programs across universities in Delta State, Nigeria. Adequate and appropriate facilities play a vital role in creating an effective learning environment and ensuring the quality of education. This research seeks to compare the current state of facility utilization in different universities, identify areas of strength and improvement, and propose strategies for enhancing the utilization of facilities for instructional delivery in undergraduate business education programs.

A mixed-methods research design will be employed, utilizing surveys, interviews, and observations to collect data from faculty members, students, administrators, and relevant stakeholders in Delta State universities. The research objectives include assessing the current state of facility utilization for instructional delivery in undergraduate business education programs, comparing the utilization patterns across universities, identifying areas of strength and improvement, and proposing strategies for optimizing the utilization of facilities.

The findings of this research project will contribute to the existing body of knowledge by providing insights into the utilization of facilities for instructional delivery in undergraduate business education programs in Delta State universities. The research will assess the current state of facility utilization, including classrooms, laboratories, libraries, computer centers, and other relevant spaces. It will compare the utilization patterns across universities, considering factors such as scheduling practices, availability of resources, maintenance, and accessibility. Additionally, the study will identify areas of strength and improvement in facility utilization, such as effective utilization strategies, innovative approaches, and best practices. Furthermore, the research will propose strategies for optimizing the utilization of facilities, including infrastructure development, resource allocation, scheduling improvements, and collaboration among stakeholders.

The implications of this research extend to university administrators, faculty members, students, policymakers, and educational planners in Delta State. The findings will provide administrators with valuable insights into the current state of facility utilization and guide them in making informed decisions regarding infrastructure development, resource allocation, and scheduling practices.
