ABSTRACT 

This research project aims to explore the perception of business education students regarding the influence of technology on the production efficiency of entrepreneurs in Kogi State. Technology plays a vital role in enhancing production processes and efficiency in various industries. Understanding the perceptions of business education students, who are the future entrepreneurs and business leaders, is crucial in identifying the potential impact of technology on entrepreneurship in Kogi State.

A mixed-methods research design will be utilized, combining surveys, interviews, and quantitative analysis of data to gather information from business education students in Kogi State. The research objectives include examining the perception of business education students regarding the influence of technology on production efficiency, identifying the specific technologies they consider most influential, exploring the perceived benefits and challenges associated with technology adoption, and assessing their readiness to embrace and utilize technology in entrepreneurship.

The findings of this research project will contribute to the existing body of knowledge by providing insights into the perception of business education students regarding the influence of technology on production efficiency in entrepreneurship. The research will assess the perception of students on the overall impact of technology on production efficiency, considering factors such as automation, digitalization, communication, data management, and process optimization. It will identify the specific technologies that students perceive as most influential in enhancing production efficiency, such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, Internet of Things (IoT), and e-commerce platforms. The study will also explore the perceived benefits and challenges associated with technology adoption, including increased productivity, cost savings, market expansion, skill requirements, financial constraints, and technological infrastructure. Additionally, the research will assess students’ readiness to embrace and utilize technology in entrepreneurship, considering factors such as technological competence, access to resources, and training opportunities.

The implications of this research extend to business education students, educators, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and stakeholders in Kogi State. The findings will provide business education students with insights into the potential impact of technology on production efficiency, enabling them to develop a better understanding of the role of technology in their future entrepreneurial endeavors. Educators can utilize the research outcomes to design curriculum and teaching strategies that foster technological literacy and competence among students. Entrepreneurs can gain insights into the perception of future business leaders and leverage technology to enhance their production efficiency.
