ABSTRACT

This research project investigates the importance of school plant planning and management in facilitating the acquisition of skills among business education students in Colleges of Education. The study aims to identify the essential infrastructure, resources, and management practices necessary to support effective skills acquisition and educational outcomes in business education programs.

A mixed-methods research design will be employed, utilizing both quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews. The research objectives include assessing the existing school plant infrastructure and resources available in Colleges of Education, exploring the specific skill requirements of business education students, identifying the challenges faced by Colleges of Education in providing adequate school plant facilities, and proposing strategies for effective school plant planning and management to enhance skills acquisition in business education.

The findings of this research project will contribute to the existing body of knowledge by providing insights into the role of school plant planning and management in promoting skills acquisition among business education students. The research will evaluate the current state of school infrastructure, resources, and management practices in Colleges of Education, examining their adequacy and alignment with the needs of business education students. Additionally, the research will highlight the specific skills and competencies required by business education students, including business management, accounting, marketing, communication, and entrepreneurship. Furthermore, the research will identify the challenges faced by Colleges of Education in providing suitable school plant facilities, such as limited funding, outdated equipment, inadequate library resources, and insufficient technology infrastructure. The research will propose strategies and recommendations for effective school plant planning and management, including investment in infrastructure, resource allocation, curriculum development, teacher training, and industry collaborations.

The implications of this research extend to Colleges of Education, educational policymakers, curriculum developers, and business education students. The findings will inform Colleges of Education about the importance of school plant planning and management in supporting skills acquisition among business education students, guiding decision-making related to infrastructure development and resource allocation.
