Abstract:
This study examines the relationship between principals' organizing efficiency and teachers' effectiveness in senior secondary schools in Adamawa State, Nigeria. The effectiveness of teachers is crucial for the overall success of educational institutions, and principals play a vital role in creating an environment that fosters teacher effectiveness. The organizing efficiency of principals encompasses their ability to effectively allocate resources, coordinate activities, and provide support to teachers.

The study employed a quantitative research design, and data were collected through a structured questionnaire administered to principals and teachers in senior secondary schools. The questionnaire assessed principals' organizing efficiency and teachers' effectiveness based on various dimensions such as instructional leadership, communication, professional development, and support.

The findings indicate a significant positive correlation between principals' organizing efficiency and teachers' effectiveness in senior secondary schools. Principals who demonstrated higher levels of organizing efficiency were more likely to have teachers who were effective in their instructional practices, communication with students, and professional growth. Additionally, principals who provided adequate support and resources to teachers contributed to their effectiveness in the classroom.

The study also revealed that principals' instructional leadership significantly influenced teachers' effectiveness. Principals who exhibited strong instructional leadership skills, such as setting clear expectations, promoting a positive learning environment, and providing constructive feedback, had a positive impact on teachers' effectiveness.

Based on these findings, it is recommended that educational policymakers and school administrators in Adamawa State prioritize enhancing principals' organizing efficiency through targeted professional development programs. Additionally, efforts should be made to strengthen principals' instructional leadership skills, as these are instrumental in promoting teachers' effectiveness. By investing in the professional development of principals and providing them with the necessary resources and support, senior secondary schools in Adamawa State can improve overall educational outcomes.
