LEVEL OF APPLICATION OF VIRTUAL LEARNING PEDAGOGICAL DESIGN BY BUSINESS EDUCATORS IN TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS IN ANAMBRA STATE
Abstract:
This abstract presents a study on the level of application of virtual learning pedagogical design by business educators in tertiary institutions in Anambra State, Nigeria. The advent of virtual learning has revolutionized education, particularly in response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the effective implementation of virtual learning requires educators to adopt appropriate pedagogical designs to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
The study aims to assess the current level of application of virtual learning pedagogical design by business educators in Anambra State tertiary institutions. The research will employ a mixed-methods approach, comprising both quantitative and qualitative research methods. A questionnaire will be administered to a sample of business educators, focusing on their familiarity with virtual learning tools, their utilization of pedagogical strategies in virtual classrooms, and the challenges they encounter.
Furthermore, interviews and focus group discussions will be conducted with selected educators to gather in-depth insights into their experiences, perceptions, and recommendations regarding virtual learning pedagogical design. The qualitative data will be thematically analyzed to identify patterns, themes, and emerging issues.
The findings of this study will contribute to the existing literature on virtual learning in business education and provide empirical evidence on the level of application of virtual learning pedagogical design in Anambra State tertiary institutions. The results will inform educational policymakers, administrators, and educators about the current state of virtual learning practices and help identify areas for improvement.
It is expected that the study will identify potential barriers and challenges faced by business educators in adopting virtual learning pedagogical design. The research outcomes will serve as a basis for designing targeted interventions, training programs, and policy recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of virtual learning in business education within Anambra State.
In conclusion, this study aims to shed light on the level of application of virtual learning pedagogical design by business educators in tertiary institutions in Anambra State. By examining the current practices and challenges faced, the research will contribute to the advancement of virtual learning in business education and provide valuable insights for improving instructional strategies in the digital learning environment.
