Abstract:
This abstract highlights the importance of entrepreneurial creative thinking skills in empowering business education graduates for self-reliance in Bayelsa State, Nigeria. As the global economy continues to evolve rapidly, the traditional job market is becoming increasingly competitive and unpredictable. Consequently, there is a growing need for individuals to possess entrepreneurial skills and a creative mindset to navigate the complexities of the business world.

This study aims to identify and explore the specific entrepreneurial creative thinking skills that are essential for business education graduates in Bayelsa State to achieve self-reliance. The research methodology involves a combination of literature review and qualitative interviews with business education graduates and entrepreneurs in the region.

The findings reveal that several key entrepreneurial creative thinking skills are crucial for business education graduates to thrive in a dynamic economic environment. These skills include problem-solving, critical thinking, adaptability, innovation, risk-taking, and opportunity recognition. Additionally, effective communication, networking, and collaboration skills were identified as important factors in fostering entrepreneurial success.

The study emphasizes the significance of integrating entrepreneurial creative thinking skills into the business education curriculum in Bayelsa State. By equipping graduates with these skills, educational institutions can enhance the students’ ability to identify and create opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and adapt to changing market conditions. Furthermore, the findings underscore the role of practical training, experiential learning, and mentorship programs in nurturing and honing entrepreneurial creative thinking skills among business education graduates.

The implications of this study suggest that policymakers, educational institutions, and other stakeholders in Bayelsa State should prioritize the development and implementation of entrepreneurship education programs that foster creative thinking skills. These programs should emphasize hands-on experiences, real-world problem-solving, and the cultivation of an entrepreneurial mindset.

By empowering business education graduates with entrepreneurial creative thinking skills, Bayelsa State can build a self-reliant workforce capable of driving economic growth, innovation, and sustainable development in the region.
